Weet’s made it to Mac, and we’re impressed!

Weet, a Twitter client you may have already used on iPhone, is now available in beta for Mac – and it’s a great piece of software!

This pared down piece of software may still be in beta, but it’s pretty promising. The Weet interface is a sleek blue and white, while the app has most of the functionality you’d expect in a Twitter client. Particularly attractive is the ability to filter out “noise” on Twitter – you can both mute specific users and filter unwanted keywords out of your timeline.

Weet allows you to do all the regular Twitter jobs – tweeting, DMs, list management and a search function. Clicking a user will allow you to manage them – blocking, messaging, reporting, etc. You’ll also be able to choose your link shortening, image uploader and Read Later options. Notifications are discreet and customizable, but unfortunately Weet doesn’t support multiple accounts.

Although other users reported bugs while using Weet, we didn’t actually notice any during our tests. Instead, we were really impressed by this basic, but very functional client.

Need a desktop Twitter client? Take a look at Weet – we’ll think you’ll like it.
