Eat the rich in this survival RPG
Blue Blood is a high-society slasher role-playing game authored by an independent developer, Jaspers. In this game, the high-society event called The Scarlet Ball is in full swing. However, this is not the usual gathering of polite society. In it, wine and blood flow freely as the finest of the fine indulge in its chief theme: polite murder. You will play the role of Countess Karolina Baumgartner, who is out to end this yearly event by killing its hostess, Lady Elaine Smythe.
Explore and kill
Blue Blood is an action-pack survival game that will have you eat the rich and defeat everyone who stands in your way. To reach Lady Smythe, you will need to explore her elaborate mansion and solve elaborate puzzles. And since this is a ball, you will also need to mingle—albeit violently—with the upper crust as you hunt for your target.
This is a relatively short game—however, it has five endings, so you can play it over and over. It also has a great storyline that will immerse you in a mysterious world of nihilistic selfishness. The game is made tougher by putting you at the helm of a character whose motives are not made clear. The author also did a great job of connecting all elements to create a seemingly short yet engaging psychological thriller.
Aside from its great story concept, this game also boasts great art and music to make a dramatic setting. The sound is nice to listen to and is not overwhelming. The textures were also pretty detailed. More than that, the puzzles in the game are also pretty straightforward, and the combat system is laudable. However, you will find that some opponents are too hard to kill due to their insanely-fast movements.
Captivating game
If you are a fan of classic RPG games, then Blue Blood is a recommended game for you. It has a good combination of immersive story and action-packed combat that can completely captivate any player. More than that, its great art direction, music, and writing add so much atmosphere and life to the setting. While the gameplay is relatively short, it offers multiple endings, so you won’t be bored anytime soon.
