Live a romantically hilarious high school life
Yuki’s Palpitating, Passionate, Phenomenal, and quite frankly Proficient quest for a (hot) girlfriend!!! is a free simulation video game that lets you live out a hilarious lesbian dating scene in high school. Developed by milkkylemon, this adorable 2D game is a short dating sim chock full of funny writing and sweet moments.
Similar to Coming Out on Top, this indie visual novel offers LGBT romance for a preset protagonist. While there’s no character customization of any degree, this doesn’t detract from the plot and even lets you enjoy the hilarious dialogue between the cast due to your character’s persona.
One week to find a girlfriend
Yuki’s Palpitating, Passionate, Phenomenal, and quite frankly Proficient quest for a (hot) girlfriend!!!— or simply “Yuki 4P”—revolves around the wacky romantic shenanigans of quirky highschooler Yuki, who pretty much enrolled at her new school just to get a hot girlfriend. She meets three girls willing to date her: the cool but flirty Spica, the sweet baking expert Chinatsu, and Yuki’s old childhood friend, the serious Haruka.
Unlike other dating sim games, the five endings you get here don’t rely on any affection points from the love interests. The plot is straightforward so there’s not a lot of branching paths to take note of when you have to unlock another ending. Additionally, you get to date all three girls until you have to choose who to end up with—which saves a lot of backtracking.
However, while all routes are easy to play through, the CG art you unlock can’t be browsed later as there’s no CG gallery. The graphics are cute in their color scheme, though, and the game can be replayed easily enough. Take note that while there’s no language option available, this VN actually has multiple translations—which you will have to download separately.
Lacks certain useful features
Overall, Yuki’s Palpitating, Passionate, Phenomenal, and quite frankly Proficient quest for a (hot) girlfriend!!! is a great little indie game if you’re looking for a sweet but funny lesbian story. Its writing is silly but down-to-earth and the art style really highlights the romantic comedy aspect of the plot. It could still use a CG gallery and an in-game language option, though.
