Free otome simulation game

RockRobin is a rock band simulation game from created by indie developer Happy Backwards. This game follows a girl named Robin who was the lead vocalist of a rock band. However, after being unceremoniously dumped by her lover, she was kicked out of the band. To seek revenge, she vowed to start her own band. She found her bandmates in a crazy teen, a stuffy businessman, and a person from her past. RockRobin is a half-visual novel and half-management sim game. Players will need to manage the band to earn popularity.

Become a band manager

RockRobin offers two modes: the story mode and the open-ended mode. Players will start with the story mode, in which you will have three default band members. After the story ends, you can play the open-ended mode, which allows you to choose any kind of band you want and any members you wish to recruit. The story mode is mostly linear, so there is a plotline that you need to follow.

The goal of the game is to earn popularity for Robin’s band. You will act as the band’s manager and single-handedly lead them to stardom. You will be in charge of coming up with a cool band name and logo. Moreover, you will decide what music genre they will be performing, what gigs they will be playing, and what will be their practice schedules. Most of the time, you will be relying on the top bar on the screen. It tells you the popularity level and cash that you currently have.

Every gig will be rated at the end of the performance, based on music, setlist, and spectacle. The amount of cash you will get and how much popularity you will gain will be based on these scores. To boost your rating, you can also play the matching memory mini-game.

Rise to stardom

All in all, RockRobin is a great game for life simulation lovers. The game offers not just an interesting story but a wide management avenue. The visuals also lived up to its storyline and present you with band members that you will love to see. This visual novel is still in the open beta stage, so expect a few bugs as you play.
