The Speedometer App – A Simple Solution to Speed Limit Signs

For decades, we’ve been looking for a simple solution to the problem of speed limit signs. The problem is, in most countries there is no system for the enforcement of speed limits, or for the signs that we already have, there is no way to know exactly where the limit is.

But, with the Speedometer App, you can simply use your phone’s camera to record the road signs that you encounter. From there, we’ll do the rest. We’ll detect the signs, merge them with the map information from OpenStreetMap and present it all to you in an easy-to-use interface.

This means that you can know what the speed limit is, and where it is, just from a picture of the road signs. And because the Speedometer App has a GPS receiver built into the app, you can even see if you are speeding or not.

We don’t just show you the speed limit in a table or graph. We do it in a much more intuitive, and easy-to-read way. You don’t need to read a long list of numbers and remember the limits. You can just see the speed limit and see it in real time.
