A rhythm game with a twist

Following the footsteps of high-stakes rhythm games like Guitar Hero, the Spin Rhythm XD game revolutionizes the genre with a literal twist. Instead of the linear and stationary lane players are more accustomed to, this one introduces a more dynamic version that can spin if the beats of the song require it to do so.

With over 50 entirely hand-made and unique levels, Spin Rhythm XD unveils fluid gameplay unlike any other. It requires an external controller to be played, although it is mostly compatible with most computer mice and keyboards, gamepads, and MIDI DJ turntables.

Tap the notes on time

As mentioned earlier, Spin Rhythm XD puts an interesting spin on the usual linear style of most rhythm games. This fun and dynamic title requires a compatible external controller for it to work, and there is always a learning curve to overcome when the player is getting adjusted to the controls. Some devices are harder to learn than others, but learning the ropes is worth a try.

This music game is the perfect mix between the classic arcade-style rhythm game and DJ-ing. Take the controller and use your fingers to spin, flick, and tap the screen on time with the notes falling down. Each level is specially hand-crafted, full of carefully placed obstacles, and it’s all about timing and precision. There are five difficulty levels to play: easy, normal, hard, expert, and XD.

Besides that, the game also allows users to create their own customized levels through the editor feature. Further customization options are offered through the ability to change the spinning wheel and UI skins, among others. However, while it seems like an overall amazing game, it still has its fair share of drawbacks, which are the external controller requirement that limits playability for some and the significant learning curve to overcome.

Needs some patience to learn

With its familiar yet dynamic style of rhythm gameplay mechanics, Spin Rhythm XD is a great pick to try. While it is not possible to master the game in one sitting, a bit of patience will certainly go a long way. It features more than 50 unique and hand-crafted levels, five difficulty levels from easy to XD, and flexible customization options.
