Ages of the Federation is a free mod for Sins of a Solar Empire that introduces the Star Trek universe to the game. The mod is a fan-made overhaul of the base game, allowing players to command ships from various factions out of the Star Trek universe, such as the Federation and the Klingon Empire.
Sins of a Solar Empire is a real-time strategy game like Command & Conquer Red Alert. However, unlike that game, this one is set in space, which changes the playing style considerably.
Control the Federation in combat
Ages of the Federation takes place in the Star Trek universe, sometime between the Star Trek: Enterprise and Star Trek (original series) TV shows. It allows players to take control of the Federation, Klingons, and other factions within the Star Trek canon, such as the Romulan Empire. The narratives of the factions are also updated and in line with the narrative from the Star Trek universe.
A complete overhaul
In addition to modifying the game to include Star Trek factions, the mod features reworked models for the ships, bringing spaceships that are authentic to the Star Trek universe. There is also a suite of 2D art included, helping to ensure that the game’s new theme feels complete.
An ongoing project
