Solve a mysterious murder case

A Girls Fabric Face is a suspense adventure game developed by Stanislaw Truchowski. In this thrilling indie game, you’ll take the role of a young 16-year old girl, named Anna, who sets up two cameras in the old abandoned house in her attempt to investigate the murder case of three girls. Inside the antique mansion, you’ll begin roaming and searching around in hopes to gather any information that could help you in figuring out the real story behind the violent crime case. With your determination, your search eventually leads you to unravel the harsh truth, and you have to make a decision that will be vital in the resolution of this game.

Lackluster suspense-thriller game

A Girls Fabric Face is the product of all feedback the developer gained from Mind Eyes—an experimental game created to understand what players want to experience in a tense horror game. Unfortunately, even after having such a good basis of creating the best suspense adventure game, it still miserably failed in delivering a decent one. This game didn’t even clearly narrate its own story, so the only idea you have is you are solving a murder case. It then results to you wandering around aimlessly looking for the collectible objects, and making sure your flashlight and camera battery doesn’t run out. On a positive note, there are a lot of things to interact with, such as floors, doors, and halls.

You’ll hear plenty of children’s giggle and cries, as well as the screeches of the doors, which can be amusing at first. But, over time, you’ll find it tiring. More it is played repeatedly, making it annoying. The voice acting is quite nice to listen to, though, and the graphics are realistically designed. However, it contains basic models and materials that need to be textured more.

All in all, A Girls Fabric Face failed to deliver the great performance, visuals, gameplay, and immersive environment it claims. If you are looking for an exceptional suspense adventure game experience, then you might want to try other games of this genre type instead, such as Heavy Rain.
