A relaxing life simulation game for PC

e-scape is a simulation game for PC developed by indie game creator Olivia Haines. In this life simulation, players take control of an angel-like character as they wander around a nature-themed landscape and take in the various sights and sounds that it offers.

Just like games, such as Virtual Towers Online or NOSTALGIC TRAIN, e-scape focuses more on providing an open world where players can explore however they want. It features distinct low-poly graphics, relaxing sounds, and simple controls. It’s also dedicated to the online games released in the early 2000s that no longer exist today.

What is it all about?

e-scape is basically a walking simulator made in dedication to the various online games that came out during the early 2000s that are offline or no longer exist today. You start out controlling this angel-like character on a nature landscape seemingly floating in the sky. For controls, you’ll use a keyboard and mouse combo. You will use the WASD keys for movement and your mouse to look around.

As mentioned earlier, e-scape utilizes low-poly 3D graphics, and this applies to your character, as well as to the world you’ll be exploring. This is paired with nature sounds like birds chirping and a calming soundtrack to round out the overall feel of the game. You’ll also be seeing various game elements from popular MMORPGs that serve as points of interest near waterfalls, atop foothills, and other locations.

Now, given that it is a walking simulator, e-scape doesn’t have any action to it. Also, there are no actual objectives given to you. It simply serves as a world wherein you can go around and explore however you wish, which, again, considering the type of game it is, is perfectly understandable and would be fine if you approach it with proper expectations.

Take a short break

All in all, if you’re a fan of walking simulation games, then e-scaped is a game that might be worth checking out for you. It offers simple and relaxing gameplay that you can try out for a short while. Here, you can explore, take in the sights and sounds, and maybe even read up on its backstory, which is kind of interesting in itself.
