A quirky point-and-click adventure game for PC

3 Minutes to Midnight is a premium adventure title by developer Scarecrow Studio. It’s a point-and-click game about a plucky teenager waking up with no memory of who she is. Thus, she begins a journey to seek the truth and to stop a doomsday plot that threatens to destroy the world.

Just like with Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 or LA Noire, 3 Minutes to Midnight is a game that’s all about the story. Players will experience a sprawling narrative that is filled with a colorful cast of characters along the way. It mixes a coming-of-age journey filled with twists and turns.

What is the story all about?

3 Minutes to Midnight is set somewhere in New Mexico, where an explosion in the middle of the night wakes a certain plucky teenager named Betty Aderson with a jolt. Realizing she doesn’t know who she is, she concludes that the huge blast must have wiped her memory clean. She goes on an adventure to cure her amnesia, as well as deal with various bumps along the way.

In this game, you’ll explore a small town filled with strangers and secrets that all connect together. Each has a backstory to tell and won’t always be what they seem. You’ll also interact with over 200 unique objects as you go about solving puzzles and mysteries. There are multiple ways to approach a problem, and there’s even a built-in hint system if things get too tough.

What’s more, you’ll also get to play another character in the ambitious and diplomatic mayor Eliza Barret. Being on opposite sides of the spectrum will affect how events unfold and how the narrative ties together. However, there is no official word yet on when the game will come out. If you’re interested in playing it, you can keep up with news and announcements on its official Steam page.

Quirky and charming

If you’re into point-and-click games that have unique and interesting narratives to them, 3 Minutes to Midnight will be worth checking out when it finally releases. The art looks great, the characters are funny and quirky, and it offers plenty of replayability with the many ways you can approach puzzles and mysteries. Hopefully, it comes out real soon.
