Enter a world of science fiction combined with horror
The Corridor: On Behalf Of The Dead is a plot-oriented game that combines elements of science fiction and horror. Make your way through a series of disturbing environments, but take care not to run out of time.
Clearly intended to stand alongside well-regarded horror games, such as Poppy Playtime and Left 4 Dead, The Corridor aims to creep out the player. Plot and atmosphere unite to create a disturbing and captivating experience as you interact with mysterious settings and objects surrounding you.
A dark science fiction future
The Corridor: On Behalf of the Dead drops the player into a dark future ruled by MOM (Memory Observation and Modification Bureau). The full story unfolds piece by piece as the player explores creepy settings and picks up clues. The game opens in a dark room that turns out to be an elevator.
Heavy on atmosphere
The gameplay in The Corridor is short on action but heavy on atmosphere. With eerie, horror-movie locales to explore, strange objects to interact with, and enigmatic messages relayed to you by MOM’s computer, the tone grows steadily creepier as you progress. Your only companion, meanwhile, is a weird baby zombie.
A fiddly saving system
One element that might annoy players is the saving system. The player saves their progress by attaching an “anchor” device to a safe location; if the player dies, they will return to the most recent anchor. After use, the player will need to wait before the anchor can be used again. This is a complicated mechanic for an exploration-themed game.
Eerie entertainment
As with all games themed around horror, The Corridor is unsuited to younger or more sensitive players. But for players who enjoy a nice chill and can look past the fiddly saving mechanic, this game will provide some good, eerie entertainment with a unique science-fiction twist.
