Morrowind Rebirth Review

Morrowind Rebirth is a new total overhaul for The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal. It was released in April 2021 and will be the last expansion for the game. For those who are familiar with the games, you will know that the last expansion, Bloodmoon, gave players something more for adventure but not much more for getting bored. Morrowind came to fill the gap left by the latter.

In Morrowind Rebirth, the island of Vvardenfell has been devastated. The Tribunal Temple has fallen to pieces, and the city of Mournhold has been destroyed. It is now time for the return of the Tribunal, the leaders of the land that founded the Empire. The player is required to journey to the capital of the Isles, Balmora, and get into contact with Balmora’s Night Eye. At the conclusion of the introductory cut scene, the player will gain access to the main menu, where a list of quests is displayed, each of which takes the player into a specific area of Vvardenfell. The player is also able to select a specific race to play as, and is able to change the race at any time by using the ingame menu.

When the player reaches Balmora, they are greeted by Balmora’s guardian, the soul of Telmori, who teleports them to the mainland of Tamriel. The island of Vvardenfell was left destroyed after the eruption of Mournhold, and it will be up to the player to start rebuilding the island and starting anew. The main quests involve starting from the ashes of the previous leveling path, going through new quests set in an island that resembles the classic island of Morrowind. There will be new adventures involving Mehrunes’ Ruin, finding the lost soul of Vivec, as well as exploring the mysterious reason why the Tribunal are being punished in Vivec’s murder and finally leading the player to complete the game on Balmora.
