A Nightmare of Your Own Creation
You’re stranded, alone on a vast spaceship with only a deranged entity known as DAVE for company. Oh, by the way, you created DAVE, and it seems that he has developed some parental issues.
Robot Wars In SPAAAAACE
Your creation, DAVE, has dispatched everyone else on the ship, leaving only you and an army of rogue robots. In your bid to survive, you must manoeuvre around the station in a zero gravity situation, sneak, hide, and fight the robots—of which there are a number of different types—and collect key cards to unlock new areas. All the while being taunted by DAVE. The game plays like a first person shooter in full 3D, meaning you can “fly” in any direction. Unfortunately, a common complaint about this game is that the control scheme is difficult to use, not always working and sometimes causing cramping depending on your choice of VR system. The graphics are fairly basic, but the sound is quite nicely done.
Interesting Game
The idea behind the game is worthy, however the execution leaves something to be desired. The control system definitely needs work, and the graphics come across as quite dated. There’s around three hours of play time in this game, so it’s not a total bust. And as mentioned, the concept is interesting.
