The game features four different species of minions, each with its own abilities. Players can summon new minions from special wells by paying with the life force of the dead enemies. Additionally, players can build a smithy, buy and upgrade weapons. Overlord can behave differently, and the game features a corruption parameter that affects the course and end of the game.
