First-person indie escape room game

Trapped is an indie game developed by N4bA. This adventure horror game will take you to a strange place. Your goal is to get out without being caught by its inmates.

Trapped plays like any other escape room game. In it, you have puzzles that you need to solve in order to move forward. Of course, as it is a horror title, you will also come across tons of jump scares. Moreover, you will explore while eerie sound effects play in the background. However, the game does not have a save feature.

What is Trapped?

Trapped will have players imprisoned inside a strange, brick-walled place. As mentioned, your only goal is to escape. However, that will be easier said than done as the place is a labyrinth. There will be lots of corridors to explore and doors to open—if you can open them at all. Moreover, there are inmates that are out to kill you if they spot you.

Like other escape room games, you will solve puzzles to progress. As you explore, you will also come across items you can use to solve these puzzles. Keep in mind to look for pieces of paper as these are essential to your escape. However, having to look for small items while navigating a labyrinthine map can be too challenging for some players.

More than the challenging map, players will also find themselves in various chase scenes against the inmates. Moreover, dozens of jump scares will keep you on your toes, not to mention the scary sound effects and background music. However, as mentioned, you cannot quit midgame as there is no save feature. You will start from the beginning whenever you launch the game.

Should you play it?

Trapped offers a premise and mechanics typical to the escape room genre. What makes it different is the amount of jump scares that it has. The game is terrifying. It will have you on your toes until the end. The labyrinthine map also adds to the challenge as it makes the experience really confusing. However, the puzzles are less challenging than the map and the jump scares.
