Free walking simulator

Iloilo is a simulation game developed by indie developer Jens Leslie. It takes players to a seemingly abandoned island where a lonely fisher delivers fish to the island residents. You will have to walk around the place and fill all the fish crates. Iloilo is designed to give players a tiny break from life. However, while its goal is to give you relaxation, there are various glitches to the game that will give you a headache.

How to play the game

Iloilo is both a visual novel and a walking simulator. As noted, you’re a fisherman who delivers fish to island residents. Your goal is to fill all fish crates, all while doing it on foot. However, it will be a good and relaxing experience as the location is a wonderfully crafted island. Everything in the game is eye-catching, especially the rotating mountain in the center. More so, there is a story narrated as you do your job.

You can play the game with a mouse and keyboard. The mouse allows you to move around, while the E key lets you interact with objects. Pressing the ESC button, meanwhile, will let you exit the game. However, there are no save area in the game. Once you choose to end your play, all your progress will be reset. With this, you will start from the beginning once you decide to play the game again.

Iloilo is designed to relax its players with its simple graphics while still showing beautiful landscapes. Its soothing background music matches its quiet pace really well. However, there are some issues that hinder the experience. For one, the game sometimes crashes a few minutes after you start playing. Moreover, it automatically shifts to a cinematic pan whenever you stop moving your mouse for over five seconds. This leads to your character walking into the water by mistake.

Relaxing and wholesome game

All in all, Iloilo does what it promises to do. It is a game that can help you relax and take a break from the world. While there is a task that you need to do, there are no timers or enemies to beat. With this, you can take your time as you take in and enjoy the music and scenery
