Mavis, the main character, is a young lady who is grounded and forced to spend all her time indoors. This makes her very nervous and stressed. When she is not in her room, she is in the kitchen with her mom and dad. They are trying to keep the hotel running and prevent the guests from leaving.

The story begins when the guests start to leave the hotel. This makes Mavis very nervous and she begins to have strange dreams. She starts to see ghosts and she begins to believe in them. She is not sure what to do, so she tries to talk to her parents. But they do not answer her calls and she is very scared. She is not sure what to do, so she decides to leave the hotel and find out what is going on.
