START AGAIN: A Prologue – A Turn-based RPG About Time Loops

START AGAIN: A Prologue is a turn-based RPG developed by insertdisc5, set in a frozen country where you are stuck in a time loop. You play as Siffrin, fighting your way through the castle with your allies to break the curse and end the loop. However, every time you die, you find yourself back at the entrance, and your allies have no memory of what happened. You must explore the castle, defeat enemies, and try to break the loop before it breaks you. The game features ATB-based gameplay, four different endings, and a 3-5 hour playtime. The chiptune soundtrack by Studio Thumpy Puppy adds to the retro feel of the game.

The story is all about how time loops affect someone and their relationship with their friends. The seemingly endless cycle wears you down as you try to hide your knowledge from your allies. The game offers a rock-paper-scissors style gameplay mechanic where you can tactically take down your foes by using their weaknesses and strengths. With four different endings, including one true ending, the game offers a unique experience every time you play. Although this is the first installment in the START AGAIN series, this game is complete and stands on its own as a side story.
