Free and Open-Source Password Manager for Common Security Requirements

KeePass is a great tool for those who would otherwise be forced to remember a number of unique passwords. Thanks to its centralised design, all of these important details are included within a centralised portal.

Main Purposes and Functions

We can think of KeePass as a password “homepage”. It securely stores all passwords so that they can accessed within a single click. This database is then effectively locked through the use of a master password or a key file. This ensures that unauthorised individuals will not be able to access such sensitive information. The system uses highly advanced encryption technology; all but eliminating the chances that it will become compromised. There is no charge to download and activate this package.

Advanced Security and More

Keepass is secured through the use of AES and SHA 256-bit encryption methods. Furthermore, no installation is required. It can be stored on a USB stick and only accessed when needed. Password lists may be exported as various file types such as .TXT, .XML and .CSV. Any passwords can also be sorted into unique categories for quick access.
