Cyberpunk-themed JRPG for PC
Jack Move is a premium role-playing game for PC by developer So Romantic. It’s a JRPG that features a cyberpunk theme and pixel art graphics. Players will take on the role of a vigilante hacker as she delves into the criminal underworld to find her missing father.
Sharing a lot of similarities with Shadowrun Returns, Jack Move will thrust players into a gritty cyberpunk narrative filled with murder, deceit, and mystery. They also both feature turn-based combat that allows them to play tactically and plan their moves along with some twists to the gameplay mechanics.
Cyberpunk noir adventure
In Jack Move, you play as a vigilante hacker named Noa Solares. As her estranged father goes missing, she goes on a quest into the underbelly of Monocity-1 to go look for him while uncovering the mysteries behind the dark research linked to the mega-corporation, Monomind. She’ll be helped by her best friend and tactical planner Ryder, as well as her ex-corporate spy uncle, Guin Blakely.
Combat in this game revolves around turn-based battles. Load up your Cyber Deck with special software that will help you exploit vulnerabilities and deal damage. Hardware upgrades are also available to increase your stats and boost your effectiveness in fights. Use everything at your disposal to help you find and save your father from danger, as well as take down the Monomind corporation and its sinister plans.
The game features multiple dungeon-like locations that boast unique environments and a variety of enemies to face, even ones resulting from experiments gone wrong. If you’re interested in trying it out, you will have to wait for a while longer since it’s not out yet and there’s also no exact release date to speak of. Check its official Steam page for more news and announcements.
