Let your finger become the most tenacious

Finger On The App 2 is a free mobile game app that lets you join MrBeast’s endurance challenge and potentially win $100,000. Developed by Beast Interactive, LLC, this app is the sequel to Finger On The App—the mobile game used for a one-time multiplayer endurance gaming contest held last June 30, 2020. Unlike the previous competition, the losers can no longer manipulate the prize pool so the stakes are much higher.

How do you practice Finger On The App 2?

The first Finger On The App contest was a collaborative effort between viral stunt app developer MSCHF and popular YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson a.k.a. MrBeast. Players competed for a chance to win up to $25,000 and anyone who got eliminated could vote on the final cash prize. This time, the gameplay hasn’t changed but the reward is much bigger and there’s no way to change it, unlike last time.

You can download and start practicing on the app but its main use will come on March 20, 2021. There’s no specific time set so you’ll have to check the countdown timer. While prepping, you can do Battle Mode and compete with other players to earn Cookies—the in-app currency used for buying extra lives, although you purchase them with real money. Take note that you can only have up to 3 lives during the contest.

The goal is still the same here: keep your finger on the app for as long as you can and avoid disruptions like notifications and calls. Every now and then, you’ll be prompted to perform some screen challenges to check whether you still qualify. The eligibility rules here are much stricter compared to last time. You must be 18 years or older and be physically living in the United States, Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico, and Canada—excluding Quebec.

Endure and win

Overall, Finger On The App 2 is an exciting sequel that raises the stakes much higher compared to the first competition. There’s no longer a chance to vote for the final reward and you’ll have to battle it out for some extra lives instead of just linking with your friends through Bluetooth. However, similar to the first one, this app will essentially be useless after the contest—unless its developer works on it some more.
