Roguelike auto-battler game for PC
Just King is a free strategy game for PC developed by VISH. It is an auto-battler that features roguelike elements in its gameplay. In it, players will be venturing to different parts of the land to face kings and their armies, gaining glory in battle and precious loot, too.
Combining the strategic elements of Chess Rush with the auto-battle combat mechanics of Clicker Heroes, Just King is both accessible to newcomers and tactical for those who want more control over the gameplay. New players can try out the demo version to see what the game has to offer themselves.
The kings and their armies
Just King is an auto-battler roguelike that strikes a good balance between strategic gameplay and simple fun that doesn’t take itself too seriously. It takes place in a fantasy world wherein you will create a party of quirky blob-like heroes and take on the most fearsome kings and their armies spread across the land. You’ll face hundreds of enemy waves across multiple distinct biomes.
For your party, the game offers 17 quirky heroes to choose from, each with its own special attributes and combat styles. Come up with ideal combinations and synergies against enemies as you engage in multiple battles at the same time. Throughout your adventure, you’ll get to discover dozens of unique and legendary items, which will help boost the powers of your heroes even higher.
What’s more, there are various achievements and challenges to aim for and complete, as well as mini-stories to take on as part of a future content update. Having said that, the game is still in early access, thus expect that it will not be complete yet, and more changes and fixes will come as development progresses. Keep an eye on its official Steam page for news and announcements.
Simply fun
If you’ve never tried an auto-battler game before, Just King is a good option to introduce you to the genre. It balances fun and easy gameplay with enough level of control and tactical freedom to make things interesting and engaging. Hopefully, the full game releases soon, but in its current state, it’s still worth checking out. You’ll like what you see. Recommended.
