Brings new locations to the half-Life universe

Roki is an exciting mod that adds new characters and locations to the world of the well-loved first-person shooter series Half-Life. Set in a remote operations center linked to the Black Mesa Research Facility, this mod brings to life a second location to be affected by the Resonance Cascade.

The Roki Half-Life Mod was created by Kaksikasvoinen to add new dimensions to the original sandbox game. As well as new locations, there are intriguing puzzles to solve and new aliens to combat in this single-player science fiction adventure. In addition to great upgraded graphics, this game mod also offers a wide range of hidden weapons and ammunition.

New character and location

The Roki Research Centre, where the action of this mod takes place, is set on the other side of the world from the original Black Mesa, which was in New Mexico. Based in Georgia, the Roki Research Centre is a Soviet military base with a ten-hour time difference.

The clock on the wall at the beginning indicates the new character wakes up on the couch, just as Gordon Freeman reaches his tram in Half-Life. The Research Centre is empty since the other scientists have gone home for the evening, leaving you alone to fight the intruders and solve the many puzzles ahead.

Range of new weapons

As you explore this abandoned Soviet base, a range of hidden weapons become available. In keeping with the historical feel of the location, many of these weapons include old-fashioned rifles and pistols to add a novel perspective to this science-fiction fantasy.

Intriguing sandbox game

The many puzzles of this learning sandbox leave you with plenty to think about as you navigate each project and code. The opening code challenge includes a sequence of numbers spoken in Russian designed to fail by contributing to the Resonance Cascade from the original Half-Life.
