Drive a 2D truck over a 2D landscape

Monster Truck Madness is a game where you drive a monster truck over a variety of obstacles. It was probably made to be the monster truck version of a platform game, but it doesn’t offer much in the way of dynamic gameplay or replay value.

Drive from a fixed position

Monster Truck Madness gives you the 2D image of a monster truck and the 2D image of obstacles. You move the truck from left to right with a fixed camera, which means the terrain comes to you from right to left. Your job is to jump over the obstacles and make your way to the end of each track. The game has 2D graphics, and many of the objects you jump have been scaled up, which means they are grainy or have no texture. There are no gravity or momentum physics other than the fact the two tyres change the orientation of your truck depending upon the surfaces they hit and from which angles they hit.

Too underdeveloped to be released

To say that Monster Truck Madness looks like a piece of college coursework that somebody released onto the market would be an overstatement. Games such as this could be generated on Blender software in less than a night. If the game where free, then it may be permissible, but if they are charging money for this game, then you should not buy. At the best, it should be part of a mini-game package and not a stand-alone game.
