Satisfy almost all your image editing needs in one place

It seems like there is a photo editing app released every week all promising to transform your images into something beyond your wildest dreams. It’s hard to believe these claims, but Photo Editor by Aviary is a breath of fresh air because, while it’s not new, it remains one of the best out there.

Comprehensive feature set

Photo Editor by Aviary provides one of the most comprehensive feature sets I’ve seen in an image editing app. It comes with everything from the basics such as crop and filters, to more advanced editing tools such as color adjustments (saturation, fade, warmth, and tint), and the ability to tweak vignette, sharpness, lighting (contrasts, highlights and shadows), and focus.

Selfie fans rejoice, Photo Editor by Aviary provides plenty of options to touch up your face with red eye removal and the ability to remove imperfections.

The downside with the app is that you can only access and edit photos that are saved in places other than your main camera stream.

Fast photo editing

Optimized for Google’s Material Design, the intuitive nature and simplicity of Photo Editor by Aviary mean you can delve right into editing without needing a tutorial. It’s a simple swipe up to increase the intensity and down to decrease, with left and right swipe being undo and redo.

Edits take place immediately with no lag and, as with every app these days, you can share via the social medium of your choice when done. When you are using the draw or add text tools, the silders, loaders, and color options on offer are taken from that photo, so they are more appropriate for the image.

Solid choice

A features list as long as my arm, an intuitive and user friendly interface, with editing applied on the spot, it’s hard to find fault with Photo Editor by Aviary. While it doesn’t have some of the more niche features as other editing apps, if you are only looking for one, solid app to improve your photos, you can’t go far wrong with this one.
