Sushi is a UI system for Zomato, used for building brand guidelines, which includes a library of components and assets. It's main goal is to help our users build user interfaces following a clean and simple design language.

Sushi is built using the following principles –

Atomic design – the components are organized in such a way that each component is a simple, single entity that looks and behaves the way the user expects. It has no impact on the experience of other users.

Composable design – each component is organized in such a way that it can be reused and combined with other components to form a new, more complex, yet still simple and single entity.

Reusability – the components are reusable. When combined with other components, they can be used to form new, more complex, yet simple and single entities.

Cohesion – the components are organized in such a way that they work together to form a new, more complex, yet simple and single entity.

Atomic layer – the components are organized in such a way that each component is a simple, single entity that has no impact on the experience of other users.

The UI Kit contains the following components –

Text – a library of text elements. Each element has a color and a style, as well as a font, size, spacing, and line length.

Button – a library of reusable buttons. Each button has a color and a style, as well as a font, size, and line length.

Image – a library of reusable images. Each image has a color and a style, as well as a font, size, and line length.
