Clean your desktop in an instant

Have you ever wanted to wipe your desktop clean temporarily to perform a presentation, screenshot or show your screen to someone? If so, Clean Slate is your answer.

Clean Slate quickly hides your desktop icons until you need them again. It cleans away absolutely everything from photos to documents and folders and even supports clearing away objects in Exposé. However, it doesn’t delete anything – it merely hides them away until you’re ready to reveal your cluttered desktop again. You can activate it using a hot key or by accessing it from your Menu bar.

Alternatively, you can set it to double click to reveal desktop icons or control-click to see icons in a menu. You can keep Clean Slate discreet too by choosing whether to show it in the Dock or Menu Bar or not.

There are few advanced options and it can sometimes be a bit confusing whether you’ve hidden your desktop or not if you don’t have much on your desktop but overall Clean Slate is a simple and effective application.
