Create DVDs from MPEG files

If you’ve got a huge collection of MPEG or AVI files, it’s nice to know that you can watch them on your DVD player instead of your PC all the time.

Aurora MPEG To DVD Burner burns AVI and MPEG files to a DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW disc, so that you can play your clips or movies on a DVD player.

The software is designed to be used with Aurora Media Workshop which enables you to convert, join and split any video files in any format and convert them to MPEGs.

You can then use MPEG to DVD burner to complete the process. Why the developers decided to divide these two programs is not clear as it seems a bit pointless but between the two programs, you can get the job done.

The program features a clear interface with big buttons running along the top taskbar to initiate all the major actions. The standout feature however has to be the built in DVD structure creator which allows you to create menus for DVD movies, allowing you to select various layouts, backgrounds and text effects.

You can also save your burns in an ISO file which you share with others or burn at a later stage. It’s a shame this burner does not support a wider range of formats although AVI was recently introduced and others may follow.
