Opthy, developed by Luxottica Group SpA, is a free lifestyle app available on the iPhone platform. Designed to make buying glasses online easier, this app measures your Pupillary Distance (PD) with just a few clicks, ensuring a comfortable and personalized fit.

With its advanced contactless technology, Opthy captures multiple measurements within seconds, providing the basis for calculating your PD value. Your PD is the distance between the center of your pupils, measured in millimeters. It plays a crucial role in determining the optimal comfort and clarity of your glasses.

Using Opthy is simple. All you need is your iPhone. The app will guide you through the scanning process and provide you with the all-important PD number. It’s suitable for everyone, even those who don’t wear glasses.

However, it’s important to note that Opthy is only compatible with single-vision prescription lenses between -5D and +5D. It is not compatible with higher-powered prescriptions, bifocals, progressives, or multifocals. For the best fit, it is recommended to be measured in person by a professional.
