Remove duplicate files from your Mac

Singular is a simple but powerful tool to help you find and remove duplicate files on your Mac.

Duplicate files can not only confuse but they take up unnecessary space on your hard drive. Singular allows you to simply drop files and folders onto its main window or Dock icon or browser to the files or folders from within the main interface. Singular finds duplicate files, shows you the results and lets you move them to the Trash in just a click of the mouse.

The problem with Singular is when dealing with very large files or folders, however. It can be very slow on large files and may even crash before completing an entire scan. In addition, at the time of writing, the developer’s site was down, meaning there’s no way of getting support when such problems arise. However, for smaller files and folders (less than 1GB), Singular is fairly fast and efficient at highlighting duplicated files.

Singular is a disappointing duplicate file remover but at least works with small files.
