File management tool for mobile

iExplorer is a premium file manager for mobile by developer Zhigang Chen. It is a full-featured file explorer featuring a clean and intuitive user interface. With it, users will be able to access and view the contents of their device and manage them straight for the application itself.

Similar to xPlore File Manager or iFiles, iExplorer supports and recognizes a wide variety of file types. That means users can see and preview things like images, documents, and others from within the app itself. It can even access and transfer data to and from remote servers on other machines.

All files in one place

You walk around all day with what is basically a hand PC in your pocket that contains all manner of files, from images to videos, and even documents. With so much data in tow, it can be difficult to keep track of everything. That’s why file managers are great tools to address this, and iExplorer is one of the more premium options available right now.

When you first open the program, you are greeted with sleek and modern UI. You get multiple viewing and sorting options to choose from to make it easier to navigate through files and folders on your device. Perform actions like renaming, handling archived folders, and even sending files over Bluetooth. If you have media stored, you can preview them in the app itself, which is handy.

If you have files like word documents or PDFs stored, there’s already a built-in reader to view them directly. One handy feature is its ability to access remote servers, letting you transfer files back and forth easily. With all of that being said, however, the experience is less than ideal given the frequent crashes and random freeze-ups you will encounter—a shame considering its asking price.

Could have been great

Overall, iExplorer has plenty of nice things about it, from its nice design to its easy navigation, and robust feature set. Unfortunately, all the crashes and freezing you’ll encounter detracts from the experience and basically renders it unusable most of the time. Until it gets fixed, it is hard to recommend in its current state. You would be better served trying something else.
