Master Double Bass Tuner is a free Android application designed and tested by professional musicians to help you tune your double bass quickly. The app offers two modes: Tuner and Pitchfork. The algorithm of the app has been adapted to recognize sounds of double bass most effectively. The app includes sets of tunes for double bass, standard, double bass 5 strings [+C1], and double bass 5 strings [+B0(H0)]. The application also allows you to set different sound names: American, European, and solmization.

The Pitchfork mode allows you to play double bass sound of each string and check if the strings of your double bass are tuned properly. You can also play all sounds automatically (from lowest to highest string) and during recording – tune strings of your double bass. The Tuner mode helps you tune each string of your double bass by recognizing the sound played by you.

The app also features recordings of real sounds of double bass, the ability to set the frequency of sound “a” (concert pitch) in Hz, and the ability to determine the deviation from the base frequency in cents.
