Listen to streamed music from YouTube
Mobile devices make listening to music easy, but finding the song you want is another matter. Musi lets you choose from an extensive list of songs available on YouTube for listening on your iPhone. It’s a free alternative to Spotify or Deezer- you can listen to songs without needing to buy and download them.

Besides cat videos, YouTube offers a large selection of songs with good sound quality and Musi takes advantage of that by letting you listen to your favorite singers and bands.
Musi lets you search by keyword to find a song, an album or a group, based on your musical tastes rather than on what’s most popular. When you find the song you want, you have the option of adding it to the main list or to a playlist you’ve created.
When you have songs organized the way you like, Musi makes playback easy with no video playback needed. Among other options, you can indicate that you liked the song and search iTunes to buy it. And you can listen to your songs once, repeatedly or in shuffle mode.
Finally, you have the ability to share a song via SMS, email, Twitter or Facebook.
A music player
Musi operates like any current music player with your browser, your playlists and the usual playback controls. That means Musi is simple and easy to use.
One of our favorite features is the ability to mark a song that you like, but the social component is limited and more fully implemented in applications such as Spotify.
Streaming without downloading
Musi’s playback quality is acceptable. By relying on YouTube though, it means that some songs may be lower quality than others, but overall the quality is pretty good. Note that since Musi relies on streaming, you’re dependent on a 3G or WiFi connection.
Don’t stop the music
Musi solves the problem of finding a particular song. In addition, the musical content of YouTube is broader than that of other similar services. And if the quality isn’t good enough, you can always buy the song through the provided link to iTunes to get the best quality.
