A frustratingly challenging game of marbles
Marble Arena 2 is a challenging free game of marbles for the PC.
Marbles is pretty old school, but this version, brought bang up to date, works well. The aim is to progress through Marble Arena 2’s levels by collecting a specific number of stars. Different colored stars are worth different points, and once you have them all, you’ll be free to progress to the next level.
Playing Marble Arena 2, we think it’s really unlikely you’ll be bored. There seems to be countless levels, and each individual level is made more challenging by the inclusion of different platforms, surfaces and obstacles. There’s also plenty of help – in the form of purple question marks – to give you more information to help you make the most of each situation.
As you progress through Marble Arena 2, you’ll get access to higher levels, and all-important marble upgrades. In theory, the game is easy to control using WASD and the mouse to look around. When we actually played, however, we didn’t find this layout so comfortable and were disappointed to find that the controls can’t be modified.
Marble Arena 2 is loads of fun. In fact, it’s way more fun than we were expecting! That said, it does get frustratingly hard after a while, and the music is enough to send you mad.
