The story is set in the lush continent of Forneas, blessed with abundant land and a warm climate. In this continent, the Mondoa Kingdom, located at the southernmost tip, faces the threat of the imperialistic nation of Flare and several other small countries. As the Mondoa Kingdom aims to expand its territory, it initiates an invasion of the small northern nation, Sekurakku. However, the battle becomes a stalemate, plunging into a quagmire.

Amidst this situation, mercenaries rejoice as they thrive on war as their livelihood. Numerous mercenary squads earn substantial rewards and amass fortunes from the battles. However, this is the story of a prominent mercenary squad that surrounds many mercenaries.

The White Lion Mercenary Squad, led by the young captain Leon, consists of only six members and remains distant from such tales. Yet, they continue to accept requests for defeating thieves.
