A visual novel game set in a supernatural world

Superstition S2 is a free game that follows the visual novel style of gameplay. It is released under a “name your own price” model, allowing players to support the developer if they wish. The game is almost entirely text-based with a few visual elements and, as such, requires a lot of reading by the players.

The visual novel genre of narrative-driven games is quite popular. Examples can be found in the likes of John Doe and The Letter – Horror Visual Novel, though this game is less firmly planted in the horror genre than those examples.

Explore a supernatural world

The world of Superstition S2 is one that looks like the regular everyday world until the player starts heading into the realm of the supernatural. Through highly detailed prose, the player will read about the environments they encounter and the events that unfold around them. The game is episodic, with the developer putting out new episodes occasionally.

Make choices

As with most visual novel games, the primary way in which the player affects the game world is by making choices, such as what dialogue option to choose. In Superstition S2, those choices affect how the story unfolds, giving the player the ability to genuinely affect the narrative of the game.

A well-written story with adult themes

Fans of the visual novel genre will be happy to note that Superstition S2 has a detailed story that is very well-written. The detail of the story does mean the player will need to do a lot of reading, however. It should also be noted that there are adult-related themes, such as violence and things of a sexual nature, as well as potentially triggering subject matters, including rape.
