AppChoices – How to Opt Out of Interest-Based Advertising

AppChoices is a tool that lets you control interest-based advertising on apps on your mobile device. Use this tool to opt out from interest-based advertising (IBA) with participating companies that collect cross-app data for interest-based ads.

The tool lets you set the switch next to the logo of a company to “ON” or “OFF.”

If you are a California resident and have never previously opted out from the sale of personal information under the CCPA, you may do so with a single click.

Once the switch is set to “ON,” all ads in the app will be turned off. 

AppChoices also provides a list of companies and devices that currently participate in IBA, so you can see if you are being served advertisements that are personalized based on your interests.
