Employ a dog to lick your screen clean

Using the cloth that comes with your iPhone to clean the screen can get a bit boring. Why not make the job more fun by getting a dog to lick your display clean?

That’s the basic premise of Screen Cleaner, a free iPhone app where you can choose from three cute dogs to lick the screen. All you need to do is tap on either the bull dog, basset hound, or mini schnauzer, then watch in amazement as the mutts start to lick your screen from the inside.

Screen Cleaner is pretty funny, although the novelty wears off after a while. Perhaps it would be more interesting if there were more dogs to choose from, and some sound effects would be welcome too. According to the developer, there are plans to introduce more pooches into a new Pro version of the app, so keep your eyes peeled.

The Screen Cleaner app doesn’t exactly live up to its name – i.e. it won’t clean your screen – but at least your iPhone won’t get wet!
