DreamCatcher – Sleep recording: A Tool for Somniloquy Patients
DreamCatcher is an Android application designed for people who talk in their sleep, and want to know more about what they say involuntarily while sleeping. The app is developed by Massimo Milazzo and is available for free.
Somniloquy, also known as “sleep-talking,” is a disorder present in about half of young people and 4% of adults. It is a disorder that does not alter the sleep quality, but it can be caused by more or less serious external factors. DreamCatcher helps somniloquy patients record the sounds they make while sleeping, and listen to them later.
With DreamCatcher, users can record just the sounds that overlap the base threshold, listen and share their recordings, and know at what time each sound has been recorded. They can also mark the most important parts of each recording and delete the useless parts. DreamCatcher is a useful tool for somniloquy patients who want to understand their sleep-talking patterns better.
