Read Comic Books, From Bronze Age To Golden.

Comic Bookie is a piece of reading software designed specifically for comic books, with their panel layout and the file formats they often come in. It is notably compatible with public domain comics from archive.org, as well as many common digital comic books sold today.

Fewer snags than Poison Ivy

As promised, Comic Bookie delivers a clean and fast-moving interface for reading comic books. It’s not “immersive”, like flipping pages in real life, but it lets you read as fast as you want to. Comic Bookie works fine with CBZ format comic book files, and supports several other comic book file formats as well. On the other hand, more obscure formats don’t always work on Comic Bookie, in our testing. More concerning is the possibility that it won’t open: on certain hardware configurations, it simply doesn’t work. Most computers and devices that run the right operating system should handle Comic Bookie just fine, but there is a risk that it’ll be non-functional, depending on the version of Comic Book and of the host OS.

A Read On Its Usefulness

If you run into no show-stoppers with Comic Bookie, you’ll find that, as promised, it’s a very effective piece of software for reading all kinds of different comics.
