Free dark horror game

Blood Void Mass is a free horror game wherein you roam across a dark void. Developed Noé, this game has you collecting blood in order to nourish and grow a massive blood surge. It’s a basic game, yet it’s surprisingly addicting.

Blood Void Mass is comparable to free games like Everything Is Going To Be OK and Dead Estate. However, unlike them and even Faith, there is no conclusion in this game. It just provides a desktop maze to explore, along with some odd events.

Wander around the dark void

The objective of the game is to keep your spike tree alive and grow as tall as possible. The developer combined Unity and Clip Studio Paint to produce this pixel art horror game. A normal session lasts a few minutes, and you may use a mouse or keyboard to control your character. As you walk further out to harvest blood, the images brilliantly heighten your anxiety as you strive to return in time to save your spike tree.

You appear to be riding a horse, which you can guide to gallop in whatever direction you like. As the name says, you’re in a dark abyss with a purple mass swirling above you. When you shoot the crowd, it showers blood. The blood spikes that emerge on the ground can be collected and cultivated. The first stage in creating a spike is to give it blood that you’ve collected from previous spikes.

You must continually feed your spike since it will die if it goes too long without blood. The idea is to find a balance between the time it takes to go out and gather blood and the number of feedings required to extend your spike tree. Your tree will wilt and die if you wait too long. You will run out of blood to feed your spike tree if you return too soon and it will die. However, there’s not much else to the story here.

Strangely gripping and bizarre

Blood Void Mass features a beautiful and bloody gardening experience, as well as gushing blood visuals and sounds. It is a simple little game that will keep you occupied for hours as you try to grow your blood spike trees. It may take some time to get used to the action and the lack of a proper story, but it soon becomes an unusually engaging game for your  PC.
