Simple yet great text font viewer

As incredible as it sounds, Windows doesn’t feature a proper viewing tool for text fonts. If you want to see which fonts are installed on your system and what they look like, you have to try them on a word processor or open them one by one from the Control Panel.

But if you prefer something easier to use – which you probably do – then I suggest you test AMP Font Viewer, a handy app that displays a list with all the installed fonts on your computer and at the same time displays their actual appearance.

With AMP Font Viewer you can see not only how many fonts you have, but also browse them by name or category. The program also includes a special area on its interface to view fonts that haven’t been installed to your system yet.

You can customize the sample text used by AMP Font Viewer and therefore check how a given text looks, depending on the font you use to write it. AMP Font Viewer also lets you add special formatting to the text, such as bold or italics, and change the text’s color.

The only flaw I found in the program was the fact that the program displays two separate windows, which makes it a bit uncomfortable to use.

AMP Font Viewer is simply the perfect font viewer that should come bundled with Windows.
