3D space-themed shooting game
Mega Robot : Mega Robot Game is a free-to-play arcade game from Team Avtaar. This shooting game puts you in control of a spacecraft, accomplishing various missions focused on surviving across the vast emptiness of space. Shoot down enemies or dodge them and planets and asteroids coming your way.
By featuring 3D graphics and responsive control, Mega Robot : Mega Robot Game makes up for its limited content. No special skills or wide customization are available, although it offers a bit of a challenge with the level bosses. It feels like simpler, forward-moving Galaxy Attack: Space Shooter.
Fly through the darkness of space
One catchy aspect of Mega Robot : Mega Robot Game is that you don’t play as any of the robots. Instead, these are the towering mechanical monsters at the end of every level, divided into multiple stages. The game tests your skills with various objectives, from shooting down a number of enemies to finding exit portals. Still, the hardest part of the game is its unforgiving bosses.
Despite its sudden spike in difficulty with each boss fight, players are given unlimited opportunities to try again. You have four lives in every attempt, with an HP bar chipped down by every hit you take. Colliding with in-game elements such as vehicles, asteroids, planets, or stars kills you instantly. Also, bonuses and power-ups are not transferrable to the next level.
In terms of controls, it is quite responsive to your joystick controls. However, for some reason, it lets go in the middle of the game and could leave players right in the middle of enemy gunfire. Additionally, the content may feel restricted since, despite the changing landscapes at every level, the gameplay remains fundamentally the same. Aside from these minor restrictions, this game works as a casual flying adventure.
Casual yet repetitive space shooter
Its 3D environment and surprising boss difficulty make Mega Robot : Mega Robot Game fun and challenging, whether you’re a casual player or looking to complete this title. Different aircraft and different set designs balance out the repetitive mission types and the difficult boss battles. Aside from its content restrictions, plus the intermittent problem with its controls, it works as a casual shooter game.
