An MMO with stunning graphics

Dragon Raja is an open-world MMORPG developed by Archosaur Games. Created with Unreal Engine 4, this game offers a gigantic immersive world, stunning graphics, and action-packed gameplay. It will have you create and role-play one-of-a-kind characters, explore the game map, and fight alongside your friends from all over the world. 

A sight to behold

At a glance, it is clear that Archosaur wanted to leave an impression on its perspective players. Dragon Raja offers a unique in-game world of a gigantic scale, filled with vivid details. Through the use of motion-capture technology, the game recreated and seamlessly integrated real-life locations—such as Tokyo and Siberia—into the game. 

The game also uses realistic light and shadow effects to make it more realistic. On top of that, players will also encounter responsive environments such as full-day weather and season cycles. It even gives minute details, such as lasting footprints in snowy areas and slippery surfaces during the rainy season. If you are not careful, you will also damage the environmental objects during combat. 

Dragon Raja also uses simulated physical collision system and optical motion-capture technology to give you a PC game-like experience. Since it uses Unreal Engine 4, the game runs buttery smooth in your device. Not only that, but you will also have the option to run the game at 60 fps. 

Create your character

At launch, Dragon Raja lets you choose among four character classes. These initial classes are Blade Master, Gunslinger, Assasins, and Soul Dancer. The blade master takes the tank archetype while the gunslinger and the assassin fulfill the ranged and DPS roles, respectively. The soul dancer, on the other hand, plays the role of the healer. 

After choosing the character class, you can customize your character using Dragon Raja’s powerful character creation tool. You can pick how your character will look, from hairstyles to facial features. You can even edit each limb. 

More than that, none of the classes are gender-locked. With this, you can pick any class and decide what gender to assign to it. The game even provides three genders to choose from; male, female, and “Lolita.” Dragon Raja also gives the players complete freedom in dressing up their characters.

Lost in translations

Dragon Raja adapted its story from a Chinese novel, which features students that are powerful dragon hybrids. Their role is to save humankind by preventing the return of mighty and devastating dragons. The game, while focused on combat, will have room for drama, jealousy, and other emotions that players feel in their adolescent years. 

The game promises an epic story. However, because of its bad translation, the story becomes difficult to keep up with. Important bits are buried in tiny two-line bits of dialogues, which are easy to miss. 

Another thing that might disappoint diehard MMO players is the combat. Unlike Black Desert Mobile, the combat in Dragon Raja feels more floaty and less polished. The game also was not able to escape the grind. However, it is less abusive, considering that you have many dailies for you to focus on and win EXP, such as bounties, quizzes, PvP, PvE, and even car racing. 

Still a pretty solid MMO

Despite a few drawbacks, Dragon Raja is still a pretty solid MMO game. Visually, it is quite refreshing, and it has a massive world that is a pleasure to explore. Additionally, it brings unprecedented levels of interactivity that you don’t usually get in a mobile MMORPG. If you are looking for a new game to play, it is worth your time.
