Frantic car chase game for mobile

PAKO 3 is a free racing game for mobile by developer Tree Men Games. It is the latest installment in the PAKO series of car chase and escape games. It retains the simple and intuitive gameplay controls of previous releases but introduces a whole slew of new levels and vehicles to unlock.

Like PAKO and PAKO 2, PAKO 3 still retains the graphics and art style that made its predecessors charming and a lot of fun. It still features the frantic start-and-go gameplay that wastes no time in dropping players in the action from the moment they launch it.

How do I play it?

PAKO 3 is basically a game of vehicular cat-and-mouse chase. When you first start it, you will immediately be thrown into the fray and you’ll have to run away and avoid being captured by the police. The controls are as simple and intuitive as ever, with acceleration being automatic and steering from left to right by tapping and holding the corresponding side of your device.

The game may be easy to learn, but its gameplay will be tough to master and get used to. Each level is designed with tight and narrow roads that make it a lot harder to maneuver. Also, there are environmental hazards throughout the course that will slow you down enough for the police to catch up. Powerups do appear sometimes to help get out of a jam, though.

It also brings over 30 new levels and cars to unlock to encourage you to keep playing, clearing objectives, and trying for the best lap times adding to its overall replayability. It does suffer from occasional difficulty spikes from time to time, though. Regardless, it’s the kind of challenge that players—old and new—will welcome and even appreciate as they progress through the game.

Much of the same, but still a lot of fun

PAKO 3 doesn’t add anything new to the formula but that could be a good thing depending on who you ask. You still get the same pick-up-and-play type of gameplay here, as well as the chaotic action that the series is known for. Despite the lack of innovation, there is still plenty to like with this latest release. Recommended.
