Prose with Bros is a competitive social poetry game. Create poems from a random selection of words, and let the people decide if yours is better than your opponents. To increase the comedy, the app will read out the poems to you! This premium version is ad-free.

Poetry might sound off-putting, but Prose with Bros is really more like the popular refrigerator magnets. Every game you play gives you a limited selection of words to use, and while none of them are rude, the selection is designed to make suggestive and funny poems.

Prose with Bros requires you to create an account, but it’s fast and easy. Then, on the main screen you can vote on poetry battles immediately. Hit play and you have three options – username, contact list and random. These refer to who you play against – it could be a username you know, you can search your phone’s contact list, or the game will find you a random opponent.

Once Prose with Bros is set up, you’ll see a board with a collection of words. Drag these into the space above to create your poem. Submit your creation and other users will be able to see it and vote for it against your opponent’s efforts.

Prose with Bros is not suitable for kids: The poems you see on starting the app, created by the community, can be quite suggestive. However, it’s loads of fun with friends, and really competitive.
