In India, the most widely grown and harvested agricultural product is rubber. However, the quality of the products varies widely, with the majority of the products not meeting the requirements of the market. For the last several years, the industry has been struggling with the low quality of the products and the increasing costs. The industry is also facing problems related to the lack of basic information and data on the productivity and quality of the product.
In order to address these problems, the Rubber Research Institute of India (RRII), a premier research institution in the field of agriculture, has initiated a project to survey the rubber-growing regions in the country and to provide the basic information and data that are needed to improve the quality of the products and the productivity of the industry.
The objective of the project is to conduct a detailed study of the rubber-growing regions in India and to provide the basic information and data that are needed to improve the quality of the products and the productivity of the industry.
In order to achieve this objective, the RRII is collaborating with the National Bureau of Soil Survey and Land Use Planning (NBSS & LUP), the ICAR, and the various state and government agencies that are involved in the survey and analysis of the rubber-growing regions in India.
