Tablexia – A Cognitive Training App for Children with Dyslexia

Tablexia is an Android application developed by CZ.NIC z.s.p.o. for training the cognitive abilities of children and young people with dyslexia. It is designed for use in schools as a supplement to teaching, as well as for pedagogical-psychological counseling centers and for the independent development of people with dyslexia. The app contains several game modules that train different cognitive skills.

The game modules include Robbers, which trains working memory; Persecution, which trains spatial orientation; Kidnapping, which trains auditory discrimination; Patrol, which trains visual memory; Shooting Range, which trains attention; Darkness, which trains visual seriality; Symbols, which trains visual discrimination; Crime Scene, which trains auditory memory; Protocol, which trains verbal skills; Secret Code, which trains auditory seriality; On the Track, which is another game training spatial orientation; Archives, which is a memory training game; and Catch the Thief, which focuses on attention training. The app also includes detailed statistics on the course of individual games, a completely spoken encyclopedia of dyslexia, and a hall of fame with trophies won.

Tablexia is a free app that is compatible with Android 13.0 or later. The whole project is created as open source and under open licenses GPL and Creative Commons in Laboratories CZ.NIC.
