A codec pack that doesn’t bloat Windows
X Codec Pack is a lightweight, easy to install codec pack for Windows PCs running 2000 and up.
Codec packs have a bad reputation because they often bloat your PC with a million codecs you don’t need, along with the ones you do. X Codec Pack avoids this by only installing the most popular – XviD, FFDShow, AC3 filter, VSFilter, MediaInfo, Media Player Classic HC – which, in all likelihood will be the ones you need.
When you install X Codec Pack, the new filters and codecs will take effect immediately, and you won’t have to make any tweaks unless you really want to. This is probably a good thing, as there’s no X Codec Pack interface, per se – any changes need to be made to the individual codec settings. These are most easily accessible in the Start Menu folder, and bear in mind that each codec interface is slightly different.
As codecs are important, but pretty boring, most people will really appreciate X Codec Pack. It’s easy to install, easy to use, and, if you need, easy to remove. If you’re having problems viewing media files, X Codec Pack should be your fist port of call.
X Codec Pack is an excellent first step if you’re having problems viewing your media files.

Updates to AC3Filter y Divx Community Codec
X Codec Pack is not just another codec pack. Only the most used and popular codecs are included in this comprehensive pack. If you are looking for a big pack with lots of codecs, filters, tools, this is the wrong place. Lots of codecs can mess up Windows.
Unlike other codec packs, you can select the components you want to install, you get uninstall support, detection for previous installed versions, update for new versions – you don’t have to download the whole pack again, support for unattended installs.
