A narrative-driven restaurant design game
Charlotte’s Table is a narrative-driven game about running a restaurant owned by a protagonist called Charlotte. The aim of the game is to run a successful restaurant, with the player making choices about things like the design of the restaurant, as well as what goes on the menus. It is also a puzzle-matching game and features 3 puzzles to solve.
Thematically, Charlotte’s Table is something of a cross between restaurant sims like PlateUp! but with an almost visual novel quality to it, like SNAGGEMON – A Grunt Dating Sim. The game is free but supported by in-game ads.
Help Charlotte succeed
The premise of the game sees the player take control of the decisions that need to be made by the protagonist, Charlotte. The player can change the look and feel of Charlotte’s restaurant, from interior design to table setting and plating. They will also determine what meals go on the menus, which adds to the dining experience for the customers.
Mini-games and a narrative
Some aspects of the game take place through mini-games, which are match puzzle games, and there are 3 different types of puzzles to solve. The player will also have to deal with customers of varying personalities. It also features some high-quality artwork.
A fun casual game
Players looking for a casual game experience should find Charlotte’s Table enjoyable. The game is ad-supported, so expect play to be interrupted from time to time. There are more features than are typically found in a casual/idle game, which may be a turn-off for some.
